Giving Back to Our Community: Texas Standard at It's My Park Day
At Texas Standard, we strongly believe in the power of giving back to our community. That's why we founded the Texas Standard Foundation and made the commitment to donate 10% of all Texas Standard profits to Texas-focused charities across the state.
But it's not just about writing a check. Last weekend, we had the opportunity to roll up our sleeves and get our hands dirty at Shipe Neighborhood Park, which is just a few short blocks away from our office. Working alongside the Friends of Shipe Park organization and dozens of other friends and neighbors, we tackled projects like planting trees, picking up trash, and beautifying the park.
By participating in events like It's My Park Day by the Austin Parks Foundation, we're not only helping to improve the local park and make a physical impact on our neighborhood, but also helping to create a better community for everyone. We believe that when we work together, we can make a meaningful difference in the world around us.
One of the highlights of the event was getting to enjoy the music of Blowcomotion, a community brass band that brought a lively energy to the park. As we worked, we were also treated to delicious breakfast tacos and cookies donated by Quack's 43rd St Bakery. Our team is already looking forward to the next It's My Park Day and we're thrilled to invite others to join us in giving back to our community.
